Thanksgiving was great this year even though I wasn't able to spend it with family. I was so thankful and grateful that Thomas was home for Thanksgiving this year and that we didn't have any incidents like we did a few years ago (he was robbed at gun point at a bus stop in Lakewood the night before Thanksgiving buying the last few things that we needed for Thanksgiving, thankfully he only received a fat lip from that and lost a few items that were inconsequential).
This year we spent it with the Simmons family since we both weren't able to go home and visit family for the holiday. It was nice to have a small Thanksgiving and enjoy their company and get to know them better. We had way too much food for the four of us, but all of it was delicious and each one of us was stuffed! We played a few rounds of Zombie Fluxx (Thomas just had to show them this game with ever changing rules), each took a shot at Guitar Hero, and had some laughs playing Apples to Apples. And of course we had to go and see Bolt. It was definitely a cute movie. My favorite part of the movie is Rhino the hamster. I was actually going to name our first guinea pig Rhino because he has this thing of fur in the front that makes him look like he has a horn there, but unfortunately Shen stuck and that's what we call him now.
In all we had a great Thanksgiving and both Thomas and I were/are grateful that we were able to spend it together.
